"front of house very poor. couldn`t understand the man! spa area very difficult to get to."
Dissapointed in the spa area. Changing room downstairs then a trek up 30 + stairs to reach the pool etc, accident waiting to happen!!! Definately not for the infirm. Our room was not attached to the main hotel we were round the corner where unbeknown to us come monday morning the workmen had arrived to finish refurbishing the ground floor apartments at 8.40am which was below our room!!! Had to abandon our room service for breakfast as the noise was unbearable. The breakfast was good quality not as hot as in the breakfast room but it did have to come some distance. We had to go and ask for the room service menu and card as was missing from the room. ( take a pen as was abit difficult to write down your room service requirements without one) The staff in the main hotel looked miserable. No where on the details did it say there was tons of steps!!!!! Anybody with leg/back problems will suffer massively. The room was basic definately not worth the money

"-"
There were problems right from the beginning - minor things initially that were of little consequence but which should have made alarm bells ring loud for the service issues culminated into a weekend country house farce. To consider this place a 4 star establishment is wishful thinking. Service staff were highly variable and included hovering waiters who wrote everything down and still couldn`t get an order right through to arrogant waiters sporting an obligatory shoulder shrug and brusque attitude. Not the restful, relaxing weekend - an expensive disaster.

"thought the bars prices were a bit high and rooms to hot."
Looked tired in some places needed redecorating. Staff friendly and helpful. A short taxi ride from city centre. If you have a problem with aches and pains beds and pillows much to hard.
