Hotel and location:
The Copthorne Hotel Effingham is a set within 40 acres of gardens and parkland, but within easy reach of Gatwick Airport. This is an ideal location for guests who wish to tour the Sussex and Kent countryside or make a day trip to London, whilst staying outside of the city. From the nearby Three Bridges railway station, the journey to London`s Victoria Station is approximately 40 minutes. Alternatively Brighton on the South Coast is about a 1 hour train journey. Guests staying at the hotel in advance of a flight from Gatwick Airport can take advantage of the hourly Shuttle Bus form the hotel which costs £4.50 per person. Alternatively the hotel can organise taxi transfers to and from the terminals.
Getting there:
BY TRAIN: From Three Bridges Railway Station take a 281 bus towards Lingfield from outside the station at Stop B. Alight at the Dukes Head stop which is approximately an 11 minute journey. Walk north-west on Turners Hill Road/B2028 towards Snow Hill/A264. Turn right onto Chapel Lane turn right to stay on Chapel Lane and then take a slight left and the hotel will be on the left.
BY ROAD FROM M25:
At junction 6 of the M25 take the A22 exit to Eastbourne/A25/Godstone/Caterham/Westerham. There will be a roundabout after 0.3 miles, take the 3rd exit onto the A22. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit to stay on the A22. Continue on for approximately 6 miles and take the 3rd exit at the roundabout onto West Park Road/B2028. The hotel is approximately 2.5 miles further on the right hand side.
