Located just outside the centre of Barcelona, this stylish 4* hotel is just a short bus ride from the historical heart of the city. Getting there:
From El Prat Airport.The airport train station is a short walk from the terminals, via a covered walkway. There are train services from the airport to the city centre every 30 minutes. Take any train going to Europa Fira, exit station following sign for Fira Barcelona onto Avda. Joan Carles 1. Continue towards roundabout and turn left onto Avda. Ciencies. Continue for 2 blocks (past Ikea) and you will find the hotel on the right. This is approximately 10 minutes walk.
BY AEROBUS: From El Prat Airport. There is also an Aerobus service to Plaza de Catalunya and Plaza España every 12 minutes. Local bus number 46 (N17 at night) will also take you close to the hotel (space for luggage may be limited).
BY ROAD: From El Prat Airport. Head northeast toward Carretera del Prat de Llobregat. Continue straight onto Carretera del Prat de Llobregat. Slight left toward Carretera a l`Aeroport/C-32b. Slight right at Carretera a l`Aeroport/C-32b. Merge onto Autovia de Castelldefels/C-31 via the ramp to Barcelona. Continue to follow C-31. Take the exit. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Carrer de Salvador Espriu. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Carrer de les Ciències. The hotel will be on the right.
City Tax: From 1st November 2012 the authorities in Barcelona will levy a tourist tax of 1.10 Euro per person per day (maximum 7 day charge) which is payable at the hotel on arrival and not included in the above room rate.

"Not a 4 Star"
Large clean room. Look a little tired in bar and restaurant areas. Get the impression the bar is only a bit of a token gesture and closes early. Not in same league as many other 4 Stars in Barcelona like Marriotts for example

Staff friendly and well intended in their desire to help, however, some information was inaccurate. The menu for evening meals was very good, though very limited for choice/variety, and therefore lacked clients which had a negative affect on the atmosphere. Gym/Spa/Pool closed for refurbishment :-(

"Good hotel if u don`t mind traveling"
Very clean and a good priced hotel there is a shopping centre 10 minutes walk with shops and food areas bar shuts at 11 and beer was a bit expensive at 450 a pint wine was 750 a bottle but all in all would go back again not far for metro station which is easy to use to get u into Barcalona itself and is very cheap area around the hotel in very clean

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. The surroundings are modern and very clean. The only let down was that the toilet cubicle in room 412 smelt awful. The smell was as if there was some blockage somewhere and the smell was coming up into the cubicle. This was the only let down. The staff were very helpful, breakfast was more than sufficient. The location of the hotel was ideal too. We would definitely stay at Hotel Solvasa again.

rooms did not have tea/coffee faclities or satelite tv in rooms. showers were in need of regrouting and resealing as both were grubby and in need of attention. Bar man had several roles waiter to function room/tea boy/bar man/restaurant/waiter and whilst he tried very hard often people were always waiting. perhaps the star rating of hotels should be standardised eu wide.
