Organisers of MineCon, the convention that brings together thousands of Minecraft video game players from around the world, have announced that this year`s gathering will be taking place at the Disneyland resort in Paris.

A promotional video recently uploaded onto YouTube confirmed that the world-famous site is to host 2012`s celebration on the 24th and 25th November, and there are hopes that it will attract even more visitors than the 2011 event, which saw around 5,000 people flock to Madalay Bay in Las Vegas.

Anyone who is a fan of this hugely popular game should be sure to consider coming along to the 2012 convention, as it could be a great chance to meet and interact with a wide cross-section of likeminded gamers. Those interested will need to keep a lookout for any upcoming announcements regarding ticket sales and think about which of the many Paris hotels they would like to stay at whilst the event is going on.
