The Catalan city of Barcelona will be hoping to attract a whole host of professional and amateur runners from around the world, as its annual half marathon returns in February. The event acts as a warm up event for some, testing out their stamina and determination for the full marathon later in the year.

The 13 mile course will take racers through the streets of the city, visiting many highlights and landmarks of the city on the way. For many, the event is seen as a true test of physical performance and willpower. Whether they choose to complete the course for charity, or just for their own fitness, each racer will be awarded with a race bag complete with a t-shirt and a medal for their persistence and courage of doing the race.
