Celebrated Italian coloratura mezzo-soprano opera singer and recitalist Cecila Bartoli is to perform in the French capital this winter.
The gifted vocalist, who is renowned for her ability to play both soprano and mezzo roles, will be hitting the Salle Pleyel on Tuesday 13 November.
Regarded by many as one of the leading soprano voices in the world, she is probably best known for her interpretation of the music of Mozart and Rossini, although she has also delivered high quality performances on lesser-known Baroque and classical music.
Her success has earned her numerous awards throughout her career, including the prestigious Léonie Sonning Music Prize in 2010 and a Grammy Award for Best Classical Vocal Performance for Sacrificium in 2011.
