Families looking for some festive fun should look no further than one of the excellent hotels in Edinburgh
after details of the city`s Christmas celebrations were unveiled.
Beginning on 29 November, the celebrations will begin with the Light Night Ceremony – an event that will see the Christmas tree lights on the mound switch on, whilst there will also be projections, an aerial performance and fireworks. A fire show in St Andrew Square will then take place, with a Brazilian samba band leading revellers to the display.
Other Christmas fun to be had in the Scottish capital includes taking a ride on the Edinburgh Wheel, donning the skates and taking on the ice rink, and shopping for some fantastic gifts at the Traditional Highland Village Christmas Markets, all of which are returning for the six week event.
Another highlight includes a festive 3D film specially created for Christmas, which will be on show in East Princess Street Gardens throughout the festive period.
Be sure to make your way to the Scottish capital this winter and enjoy a memorable Christmas break.
