Chinese classical pianist Yuja Wang is to perform in the Catalonian capital next year, it has been confirmed.
The supremely gifted musician, who has been lauded by critics across the world, will be playing at L`Auditori in Barcelona on Tuesday, 21 May 2013.
The Beijing born artist began studying piano at the tender age of six and went on to study at the Central Conservatory of Music in the Chinese capital, before being accepted as the youngest student in the prestigious Morningside Music Bridge International Festival at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Canada.
Now based in New York City, she rarely has time off and is more likely to be found touring the far flung corners of the planet than in her American residence.
