Popular Scottish pop group Deacon Blue are set to perform live in Edinburgh this October, with the performance forming part of a lengthy UK tour to mark 25 years of music.
Taking their name from the Steely Dan song ‘Deacon Blues`, the group first broke into the mainstream music scene back in 1987 with their debut album Raintown. While it was met with positive reviews, it was the release of their second album ‘When the World Knows Your Name` in 1989 which gave them their first taste of number one success, with the double platinum album sitting at the peak of the UK Charts for two weeks. They have released 5 albums during their tenure, with the recent arriving in the form of The Hipsters which hit the shelves earlier this year.
Deacon Blue will be performing live at Edinburgh`s Usher Hall on 8 October, with tickets still available from the venues website. If you are looking forward to your stay in any of the nearby
hotels Edinburgh during the dates, why not include a fantastic evening of live music into your plans?
