Anyone who has visited and dined out in the Irish capital didn`t need the evidence, but a recent survey has listed Dublin as the best location for restaurants in Ireland.

Conducted by Hotels.com, the survey questioned more than 27,000 travellers worldwide, including 1,032 Irish holidaymakers, with almost half of the latter group said to consider Dublin to be the best for dining out.

It is encouraging news for the stunning city, and follows the revelation that celebrity TV chef Jamie Oliver is to add to the range of culinary establishments on offer and open his own restaurant in Dublin.

Currently in the midst of an ‘Escape the Madness` tourism campaign, targeting Londoners wanting to get away to Ireland during the Olympic summer, it also helps further enhance the Irish capital`s reputation as a must-visit holiday destination.
