The Street Performance World Championship will be hitting the Irish capital this summer, as organisers begin planning for the competition`s 7th annual event.

Formed in 2006, it is seen as one of the premier competitions for some of the best street performers in the world and is likely to attract more than 50,000 people to the gravity defying, awe-inspiring event.

There have been four separate winners in its short history, with current champions Space Cowboy (Australian Circus and Freak show performer) having won it three times in 2006, 2007 and 2011, while English Gents in 2008, USA Breakdancers in 2009 and Jack Wise in 2010 were the other victors.

Last year witnessed a world record ‘Where`s Wally` attempt, face painting, a picnic area, stuntmen and many more activities, and organisers are hoping for another competition packed full of fun for the whole family.

The championships are set to take place from 14 June – 17 June, so be sure to drop by should you be planning a stay in one of the fabulous hotels in Dublin this summer.
