A new restaurant has been opened by French designer Philippe Starck, set within one of the biggest flea markets in the world.
The exciting new eatery and the acclaimed designer`s latest project was unveiled earlier in the month in the Saint Ouen flea market, which is located at the northern edge of the city.
A fascinating addition to the city`s famed culinary landscape, the restaurant evokes images of a ‘bowl of hot soup, a bowl of steaming coffee, a bowl of wine...`, according to Starck and it represents a great day out for any of the thousands of foodies that head to some of the fabulous
hotels in Paris every year.
Able to seat 250 customers, the 1,000 square metre restaurant is divided between an industrial loft and two terraces and straddles an arena that attracts throngs of tourists and locals alike looking to take a tour of the past and give rare, antique finds a new home.
