Celebrity British chef Jamie Oliver looks set to open a restaurant in the Irish capital this autumn, it has been announced.

The Essex media personality, who is known for campaigning against the use of processed foods in national schools on both sides of the Atlantic, is currently looking for senior chefs and managers for the restaurant, named Jamie`s Italian, which is to open in a 4,500 square foot unit in the Pembroke area of Dundrum Town Centre in Dublin.

It will be the cook`s first Irish restaurant and he looks set to continue his commitment to independent food producers, searching for some of the finest Irish ingredients including Irish free-range meats, sustainable fish, fruit, vegetables and bread.

His speciality is widely regarded to be Italian cuisine and the news marks an exciting addition to Dublin`s wide range of eateries, particularly for any of those who are planning a break in one of the fine Dublin hotels this autumn.
