Popular musician turned television presenter Jools Holland OBE will be performing live in Edinburgh next month, bringing his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra to help celebrate the annual jazz and blues festival in the city.
The former Squeeze pianist and bandleader is well respected in the world of music, working with titanic figures such as Sting, Eric Clapton, George Harrison and David Gilmour during his time with the band. He will be more familiar on the screen, showcasing a range of bands during his lengthy primetime BBC show `Later…with Jools Holland`.
His 20 piece rhythm and blues orchestra features an assembly of fine musical talent, including drummer Gilson Lavis, another former Squeeze member who has worked with Jools for over 25 years.
The rhythm and blues orchestra are sure to bring an enthralling performance when they visit Edinburgh`s Playhouse theatre on the 29 July. With tickets still available, why not include a fantastic evening of music during your stay in one of the Edinburgh hotels
