Popular funny man Michael McIntyre has announced a duo of performances in Edinburgh this summer, visiting the Scottish capital to try out some new material on a work in progress tour.

His rise to fame has been phenomenal, quickly becoming one of the finest comedians on the UK scene since he first emerged back in 2006. He has conducted three sell-out UK tours through his career, whilst the accompanying DVDs `Live and Laughing` and `Hello Wembley` have sold more than 2,500,000 copies collectively.

McIntyre has also enjoyed success on screen, with his show Michael McIntyre`s Comedy Roadshow falling to great acclaim from fans and audiences alike. He has also been a contestant on a series of comedy panel shows, including the likes of 8 Out Of Ten Cats, Have I Got News For You and Mock The Week.

The shows will be taking place on 5 and 6 August, with McIntyre hoping the new material will leave audiences at the Edinburgh Playhouse theatre in stitches. With tickets still available, why not combine the show with a stay in one of the hotels in Edinburgh available over the dates?
