Autumn is among the best seasons in which to visit Paris, with a fine array of events suiting the whole family taking place throughout the city of love. Possibly the biggest contributor to this buzzing programme is the annual Paris Autumn Festival, presenting a treasure chest of activities and performances ranging from visual arts, dance and theatre to music and cinema.

Now in its 41st year, the event attracts culture vultures from the four corners of the world and has grown to become one of the biggest events on the calendar with an overall audience more than 100,000 strong. With everything from visual arts displays, courtesy of Urs Fischer and Tilda Swinton, to musical performances from Gavin Bryars and Ryoji Ikeda, The festival`s aim is to embrace and celebrate contemporary art in all its forms.

Taking place at multiple venues from the 13 September until 18 December, it offers a fascinating point of interest for both visitors and city dwellers during the colder months. If you are looking forward to a stay in one of the great Paris hotels, why not see what is on offer during your visit?
