Theatrical American-Canadian songwriter Rufus Wainwright will be bringing his spellbinding live show to Edinburgh this winter, with a date in the Scottish capital planned for the 13th December.

Wainwright was nominated for a prestigious national music prize – the Genie Award for Best Original Song – in 1989, when he was just fourteen years old, and has enjoyed a hugely successful life in music ever since.

The performer, who is brother to Martha Wainwright and son to the folk stars Kate McGarrigle and Loudon Wainwright III, has broken the mould of conventional pop singer, already composing opera, re-enacting a Judy Garland concert and setting Shakespeare`s sonnets to music over the course of his already illustrious career.

Tickets for the concert are selling out quickly, so be sure to find accommodation at one of the many Edinburgh hotels as soon as possible, so that you don`t miss out on seeing one of the most acclaimed artists of recent times live.
