Popular Icelandic post-rock group Sigur Rós are set to perform live in Paris later this month, with the much anticipated performance forming part of a huge tour all across the world.

Known for their ethereal sounds, they received international acclaim with the release of Ágætis byrjun after it hit the shelves back in 1999, with critics hailing the relaxing album as one of the best releases of its time. Their fourth album, Takk, in 2005 spawned the single Hoppípolla (translated into Puddle Jumping). The bands second official single, it was widely praised and was used in a number of programmes and films including the BBC`s Planet Earth and the Disney movie Earth.

Sigur Ros will be performing live in Paris on the 24 August, with the concert forming a great part of the popular Rock en Seine Festival. If you are already looking forward to a stay in one of the many hotels in Paris around that date, why not come along and enjoy the show?
