Rumours are abound that legendary American rock duo Tenacious D are to perform in the Irish capital this autumn for one night only.

The inimitable band, who mix skilled guitar riffs with comedic lyrics, look set to perform at the O2 Arena in Dublin on Saturday 20 October, if some online commentators are to be believed.

Members Jack Black and Kyle Gass released their eagerly awaited third album ‘Rise of the Fenix`, which was produced by the acclaimed John Kimbrough earlier in the year, and both are renowned for creating electric atmospheres at each venue they perform.

They are perhaps best known for their first single ‘Tribute`, which is considered by many as the band`s most successful track and brilliantly showcases their ‘mock rock` style.

Tickets are set to be priced from €40 and are reported to be on sale this Friday at 9am on Ticketmaster. Be sure to snap yours up quickly and combine a fantastic live music experience with a stay in one of the fine hotels in Dublin.
