Edinburgh is set to come alive with the sensational sounds of The Overtones, with the five-piece vocal group visiting the Scottish capital for a much anticipated live performance. Playing at the city`s Usher hall on the 22 November, it`s an event that would be fantastic to combine with a stay in one of the nearby hotels in Edinburgh.

Their rise to fame is an interesting tale. It began with Timothy Mately, Mark Robert Franks, Michael Cravenshaw and Darren Everest working as decorators in a shop near Oxford Street. While singing on their tea break, the incredible sounds caught the hears of a Warner Brothers talent scout who wasted no time in signing them up for a record deal, with the group later changing to a five-piece once Australian Lachlan ‘Lachie` Chapman joined the ranks. Their debut album, Good Ol` Fashioned Love, was a huge success, peaking at number 4 in the UK Charts and selling more than 500,000 copies.

Their most recent offering arrived in the form of Higher, with the compilation rising to number 6 on the UK Charts after hitting the shelves earlier this month.
