
Evergreen American alternative rock group Wilco have announced plans for a short European tour this autumn, and Barcelona has been named as one of the cities they will be visiting.
The Chicago-based six-piece, who are led by singer and guitarist Jeff Tweedy, are scheduled to play at the Catalonian capital`s stunning and historic Liceu opera house venue on the 15th October.
Since forming in 1994 and bringing out their debut album, A.M., a year later, Wilco have gone from strength to strength, gaining more and more public and critical acclaim with the release of each of their eight studio records. Their latest, The Whole Love, hit the shops in September 2011 and is sure to feature heavily on the setlists of their forthcoming dates.
