A museum in Barcelona has successfully negotiated a loan of the entire work by author, artist, poet and designer Joan Brossa, it has been confirmed.

The Joan Brossa Foundation and the City Council of Barcelona agreed to lend his Catalonian collection, which can be totalled up to 60,000 pieces, to the Barcelona Museum of Cotemporary Art for a duration of 25 years.

Founder of both the group and publication Dal-au-Set (the first post-World War II artistic movement in Catalonia), Brossa`s legacy extends beyond art enthusiasts and professors.

Embracing almost every aspect of the arts, his creative work embraced the likes of cinema, theatre, music cabaret, the para-theatrical arts, magic and the circus. He was renowned for keeping and recycling everything he produced, perhaps explaining the massive impact he had on the Catalonian cultural landscape.

An exhibition of his work is planned for Autumn 2013, but why wait? Come and explore his influence on Catalonian culture and art around the city and combine it with a stay in one of the fabulous Barcelona hotels.
