There were problems with the boiler when I stayed, which was unfortunate. This wouldn`t have been so much of an issue had we been informed of the problems but we were continually told mis-truths regarding the situation. We were unable to shower, which threw our plans out of action. I don`t feel we were compensated for the problems. The rooms were also VERY over priced for what they were. There wasn`t any room to move about. Not comfortable at all!

"good location with friendly staff. cramped accomodation with very poor water pressure"
tiny room with no bath that i had ,in advance, requested. the water pressure on the 4th floor was apalling.felt that the room rate reflected this and the hotel is fine as long as you only want a bed.the lady gill who booked the room for me was superb.

I enjoyed my stay at this Hotel ,near to Paddington station ,but away from noise,Clean rooms and well maintained, helpful friendly professional staff. Will stay again when I am in London.

"good value for money"
great location, lovely rooms. only complaints was the air conditioning didn`t work, and it was very hot at the end of June. and we were on the 3rd floor and the lift didn`t work, great for your health but horrible at the end of a long day. overall a lovely stay.

"Got there at 1.40pm check at 2pm, they would not allow us to go into the room until 2pm exactly. "
Never been to a hotel that did not let you in a litter earlier than the advertised check in time. We had to wait for 20 minutes, as we got there a little earlier. Can`t image it was being cleaned or occupied before then. Other guests had to do the same.Also never stayed in a hotel where I had to climb over the bed to get to the other side, about 6 inch gap at the end of the bed to the wall.

"Misleading representation of hotel"
The receptionist was very unhelpful when it came to giving directions. He didn`t seem to know the area surronding the hotel unless comming from the train station. We arrived late to the hotel as the directions were very vague. We then were left waiting and eventually we were told we had to move to another sister hotel on another street. After walking around and being given our room, we discovered it to be no bigger than a box room. The double bed was flush against three sides of the rooms walls and the bathroom was tiny. We immediately rang reception and asked to be moved. This was granted and the next room was slightly bigger however it was not what we imagined the hotel would be like from this website. We were given the impression that this hotel was worthy of 4 star staus however the treatment and the rooms we were eventualy given would not reflect this. It was very disappointing and tainted the beginning of our holiday.

well when we stayed as we were put in the annex, if like me when someone says annex you think shed think again this was a lovely hotel around the corner would definatley stay there again but couldn`t say about the Hyde Park Premier as the only bit I saw was reception.

"Hotel was average"
There was a long wait to check in when we arrived at 1pm. We stayed in room 803 and the lift kept us awake mst of the night, the chairs in the dinning room also woke us and the shower was freezing.

"Encountered a couple of issues"
Due to the hotel not having the correct dates(?) we were put in a VERY small room on the top floor when the lieft was out of order for our entire stay. The weather was also hot/humid & the air conditioning was not working! Its very doubtful that I would book this hotel again.

"Such a shame - multiple problems keeps this from being a grea place to stay"
Hot showers were very rare, no air conditioning, lift didn`t work, staff doesn`t speak english, constant communication problems, no wash clothsThis is a great location - too bad that these are on going problems - same as I saw in the reviews when I booked. I was naive to think that they would be fixed by the time we went. I do not think that the hotel wishes to change anything. When you have to pay up front, the customer is stuck!!! The hotel is only concerned with getting your money - not customer service!

We booked to stay at this hotel last week and were upgraded to their sister hotel, which may have a bearing on the review as the Premier Park Grand was lovely.We were given a room on the 4th floor and the lift did not work, we were told 1 hour and it still wasnt working this morning. The room was extremely small and the TV channels were very basic only BBC 1 & 2, ITV & Channel 4. It was supposed to be 4 star accomodation.The location is very good only a few minutes from Paddington & Hyde Park

Overall not a happy stay at all. 3rd floor room with no elevator in working order. Only seen guest who had problems.....staff speaking full english, with full knowledgable comprihension were difficult to find

No lounge area, no food other than breakfast, no bar, staff not particularly helpful. Room exceptionally small and no airconditioning. TV bad reception, no fridge in room. Rooms are at least clean, and well maintained.

"Unenthusiastic staff"
The front-of-house staff didn`t seem very well trained. Examples include Starting one job with a customer and then moving onto another without finishing, customer left waitingInforming the customer that they would come to the room to resolve an issue and then not turning upPoor welcomeThe plumbing in the hotel is very poor - the water pressure was so low in the room that on the final day of my stay, no water came out of the shower attachment and the bath filled very, very slowly.There was no booze!

"No double room"
We booked the hotel for one night in a double room on line quite some time ago. When we arrived there were only two singe rooms left for me and me wife. Not terrifically happy with that. We then had to travel to a further hotel with a double room by taxi. What we didn`t realise at the time is that we would subsequently incur extra costs of getting back to our car. "don`t call another completely different hotel an "extension""
When we checked in we were told we would be staying in the "extension"...and to follow one of the lads over to where it was. This seemed to us like we were being put up in some "add on " building, when in fact we were placed in a nice hotel, about three blocks away. We didn`t mind this but it would have been better to have been told that`s where we were going and not that we were going to something called an extension. I didn`t think the front desk people were very congenial, business like and efficient, but hardly very friendly.

"Misleading Information"
Booked to stay in Hyde Park Premier for a two nights arrived at the hotel at midday, room was not available until 2pm. Returned to hotel at 4pm only to be told after booking in that our hotel we were to stay in was around the corner. We was then taken to the Best Western in Devonshire Terrace where we collected our room pass and then was taken acrosss the road to yet another hotel for our stay. The room was very small and not suitable for two people stayed in this room for one night and then requested that we be moved to a larger room our request was met and was moved to the Best Western. This appears to be the norm as we chatted to other couples who had also booked to stay in the Hyde Park Premier.

"Definately NOT 4 star"
The room was very basic. Safe Deposit box did not work. Curtains were torn and shabby. Air con didnt work very well and we did happen to choose a particularly hot 2 days! On the plus side - the staff were very nice and friendly.

Of the two rooms I booked, only one was available. They booked me at their other hotel, but it was inconvenient and took away from the precious little time we had in London. Basically that night was a waste. Oh well.

"Comfortable, well-equipped room "
Room was comfortable and well-equipped, however directions that I printed off from the website were confusing as the entrance to the hotel was on Craven Hill and not on some back street as indicated by the directions. Room was well-equipped, but water pressure in the shower was not great and there was a power cut for a about 40 minutes in the evening.

I found the people in the hotel were nice and helpful, but the room I had was extremely small. To reach the window and desk, it was necessary to climb over the bed.

After waiting around for half hour firstly was told not booked in there then was told due to "maintenance" we were being relocated to the Marleybone Hotel (which was outstanding) staff were helpful though
