"Not a bad hotel to stay at"
Hotel was clean and nice. Although the bed change etc was a little slow . Left for day out at 8 am came back at 3 and still had not been done .Quite helpfulAlthough when booked the site did not say about the extra taxes uk have to pay 6 euros per person per night .. So account for that !! Transfer to return to airport is not free and is 20 euros per person . You can get a shuttle service which is like 6-7 euros ! Quite central to Vatican City etc also not bad location !

"Not what I would expect from a four star hotel."
The good - 500 metres from the Vatican and within easy walking distance of all major attractions so long as you are reasonably fit. Good shopping, bars and reataurants nearby. Room comfortable for a nights sleep in a city, some background noise.The bad - Room very average for a four star. A bit tired. Shower hose worn and leaked, although replaced quickly. Shower head holder not fixed properly so had to dance to get wet. Toilet flush hanging off wall. Worked but had to hold it on to the wall to make it work. Staff were functional but lacked a sense of humour, maybe thats the Italian way!!! We did not use the hotel restaurant or breakfast facility. All in all I felt that the hotel was over priced but then again it was well placed. So if you want to pay a premium for location and are not to worried about the service this is an ok hotel.
