Comfortable but needs up dating. Rooms very hot and humid, noise from the road bad also. Staff very polite and helpful, breakfast excellent choice, restaurant meal reasonable potions could be slightly bigger . Parking £12.00 for 24 hours not happy about paying for parking when booked in as a guest.Would stay again and would recommend as a budget style hotel.

"Great Hotel"
Fantastic location for shops, trains and nightlife / restaurants. Lovely hotel, fabulous breakfast and staff all every accommodating. My only negative comment is the hotel is far, far too warm everywhere - bedrooms (which makes sleeping uncomcomrtable), hallways and the bar and restaurant are are all far too warm so please rutn down the heating !.

Stayed here after a night out on broad street. Reception staff were very polite and helpful and when a problem arose with the checking in process we were given a complementary bottle of wine and nibbles .Room had everything needed for a one night stay. Did hear a bit of traffic noise in early hours but not enough to keep us awake. Breakfast was plentiful and replenished when needed. All staff were polite and helpful especially in reception. Would definitely stay here again ..

Carpet at side of bed was badly stained. This is not to say that it was unclean but it presented a bad impression. Otherwise the stay was perfect. I always stay at the Copthorne when in Birmingham.

A friend and i shared a twin room as we were going for a night out.The hotel room had everything we needed and was clean and tidy.All staff i came into contact with were all very polite and helpful. I would happily recommend this hotel and will be booking again.

for what i paid for 2 nights stay it was very basic and was disappointed having to pay for breakfast sepereatly, which was very poor nothing filled up and cold, we got our money back for breakfast for the first morning as we did without on the second morning

The room was very spacious, very clean the bed was really comfortable. Drinks in the room& ironing facilities also in room. My only criticism it needed more bright light to apply your make up

The room was clean and comfortable, although noisy at night that is no fault of the hotel. However I was taken aback that only one hand and one bath towel was provided, it is the first hotel I have ever stayed at that did not have one of each for every guest!

PAID FOR CLUB ROOM..... WAS DIRTY BEDDING ON BED NO ROBES IN THE ROOM NO LIGHTS WORKING IN THE ROOM WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL WITH THE QUALITY OF IT ALL I AM NOT HAPPY THAT I PAID £126 AT ALL

The staff are excellent... Helpful, polite and proffesional. Dean on reception and James on the bar went above and beyond. Joe was also great, very helpful. Hotel very clean. Only downside is the noise from the road and lack of parking.

"Great stay, Great value for money"
Stayed here for a night out on Saturday. For the price we paid we were just expecting a room and a bathroom of an ok standard, but when we got to our room we were surprised to see we even had a living room! (Pickwick Suite) The room was very clean and tidy, 2 TV`s lots of storage space and comfortable bed. We also had dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel. Delicious Singapore food and also a delicious breakfast with a good amount of choice. Staff also friendlyOnly a few minutes walk to where all the bars/clubs are so good location if you are going out for the night. Will definitely be staying here on our next trip to Birmingham.

Needed a hotel in the Centre of Birmingham. Room very comfortable, everything supplied for basic needs. (Kettle, tea coffee, hair dryer, trouser press, TV). Bathroom clean. Will recommend the hotel anytime and will definitely stay there next time. The only drawback was the noisy disco on Saturday night which kept us awake.

"Dated hotel, overpriced "
We found this hotel to be in a good location, but found the hotel to be dated and could do with a modernising,Bed was two singles together, rather uncomfortable, with basic sheets and pillows, it was also rathe noisy, both from the main road, and all the doors along the coridor seem to slam shut, The restaurant food was nice, and not badly priced, but the breakfast wasn`t great, Would normally be happy if it was a £60-70 hotel, but as we paid £180 was not impressed

"Great city centre hotel."
We stay at the Copthorne about once every 6 months. It`s clean, welcoming and ideal for getting to the new Birmingham attractions such as the library as they are only metres away.The staff and food as well as the bar make for a great hotel.However, be sure to ask for a room overviewing Centenary Square or you may be overlooking a car park. Ask for room 237!

Very disappointed at being asked to pay for wifi. Also TV remote was difficult to use as wording on function keys had worn away! Very frustrating! Otherwise an excellent hotel, ideally placed for rail station, theatres, cinema and restaurants.

Great central location. Room a little tired but it was low cost. Staff very friendly and efficient. The manager should do the customer journey from the concourse as there are weeds on either side of the approach to the hotel entrance. Not a good look.
