"Excellent for a few days` relaxation"

My only criticism as an elderly person with an elderly wife who is partially disabled is that the bathrooms do not have walk-in showers. When renovating rooms, they should consider having these where space permits. The dinners we had were excellent and we found all the staff were highly trained, friendly yet professional. I liked this hotel a lot. I think the pool and jacuzzi facility could be improved by more rails to assist elderly people. However, the health spa is good for residents and they should be careful not to have too many non-residents joining. I was unimpressed by a couple of the visitors.

"Incredible place"

I thought the hotel was amazing. Staff friendly and helpful. Booked into the Mirabelle for dinner and the food was first class, really good! Breakfast was good, satisfying and a lot of it, but not amazing quality I felt. It`s a small gripe though to be fair.

Attention to detail has clearly been an important part of the presentation. It is a pity that the no-one has felt it important enough to remedy a very noisey fan,near to room 338, which came on intermittently throughout the night.

We have been using the Grand for several years now and are members of the Elite Club. We are always struck by the continuity of the staff and charming, unstuffy service.We had lunch in the Mirabelle restaurant - service is very good and unobtrusive and Gerald Roser`s menus are always interesting and did not disappoint this time.
