Check-in was efficient and we got a room even though it was 11am and check-in was supposed to be 2pm. The room was lovely with all the amenities required. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was reasonable and breakfast was superb! All in all, made for a much more enjoyable weekend in Edinburgh. Only downside is that it is a 15 minute walk to Princes Street.

We found one bedsite light not working, faulty fitting. When reported, one was slightly improved, the other fixed on the same day.The hand basin was very slow to drain and smelt, this was not resolved.The wet room idea is good, but not all water drain the right way. There was no ventilation in the toilet/shower, nor in the room. The shower drains smelt. The redundant light pull swicth was uncovered, terminals were visible.Overall it was only average, there are better options at a lower cost

| Guest rating: | 4/1/2008 | | "not what i expected for 4star." | | | | the staff were friendly and the food was nice, but the room wasnt as up to scratch as i anticipated. it was a box room on the top floor, the bathroom was nice enough, hygienic, but the bed was old and you can feel the springs through the mattress. i was tempted to go down the road to the travel inn!! wouldnt put me off, but i guess id go for one of the more expensive rooms. hope this helps!!

The room was not overly big but had everything which was needed and sufficient en-suite facilities. As the hotel was a 15 minute walk away from the centre of Edinburgh it wasn`t as central as some others, although there is a very good bus service and staff were happy to help when ordering taxis. Overall the stay was ver enjoyable.

The check-in was the fastest and least troublesome I`ve ever experienced. Staff were efficient and freindly. Our four twin rooms were comfortable and clean, with modern facilities and tasteful furnishings. There was nothing wanting. We felt very well looked after at breakfast, and the choice of food was excellent. All the staff were friendly, cheerful and really helpful. They dealt with every requirement promtly and efficiently. The location was ideal, being far enough from the town centre to be a little quieter, but near enough to either walk or take a very short bus ride into town. Its proximity to Haymarket railway station was another advantage, as we travelled by rail. I would definitely use the hotle again, and recommend it to friends.

Not suitable for more than an overnight stay. I was also disappointed that my daughter had to pay full adult price for her three year old son.

We found your Hotel to be great value for money, with friendly staff and awesome food. The location is great ( just a short walk to the city centre) which is also a bonus. Daniel on the front desk helped us with arranging some tours and also reccommended a great steak resturant for us to visit (thanks daniel keep up the great work). Your food is tasty and great value for money i reccomend the mexican wrap, grilled butterflied chicken breast and the beef burger. Thanks for the great visit and we will definately be back.
