"Extremely friendly staff"

The staff in the hotel were extraordinarily friendly although the cleaning staff did persistently knock on a morning when we had the do not disturb sign up. Rooms are clean, reasonable and do the job.

Rooms were clean and relatively modern and generally to a good standard.Service for breakfast was friendly and the continental style food was of good quality.

"Rooms comfortable, clean and advertised facilities available. Water temperature disappointing."

The rooms and en-suite were clean and comfortable, however the hot water temperature was too random, cold when we arrived at 16.30, very hot when we left for the evening at 18.00 and cold again next mid morning. Limited clothes availablity.

"Good location"

Good location in Montmartre for metro stations. Quite near a main road which is noisy until late at night but there`s a handy supermarket opposite front door for supplies. Clean and comfortable but heater/ac unit didn`t work and windows failed to shut properly. Staff helpful and friendly.

"Not the best experience"

Room unavailable for first night due to plumbing problems. Sent to Hotel Chateaudun which was AWFUL - dirty and cramped. 2nd night was fine but our room was not cleaned on the third day and we had to ask for clean towels. One the good side - the conceriege was really good and helpful and we were given breakfast for the three days free of charge.

Everyone did their utmost to make my stay pleasant.The room was quiet and the bathroom was very clean.Breakfast was much more than I had expected from"continental breakfast"Thankyou for helping me to manage the Metro I was able to do all I planned.I will certainly stay ther again and reccomend to friends

"Good Experience"

The hotel has a good location. Although many of the sites are not on your doorstep, they are within a stroll of the hotel which allows you to really get to see Paris. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are helpful and friendly.

"The staff were very friendly and helpful. "

The breakfast chef was particularly helpful and entertained our children by being funny. The receptionist made us feel very welcome and was helpful in providing information. One bedside lamp obviously has not worked for sometime, but the hotel staff probably don`t know it is out of order. Otherwise everything was very clean and I would have given excellent for the feedback.

"If you get offered a room on the first floor - ask to exchange!!!"

The lobby to the hotel gives a good first impression of what to expect at the Touraine. The hotel is full of tight dark corridoors and the decor is tired and in need of MAJOR renovation. When we first arrived we were allocated two rooms on the first floor which were the WORST hotel rooms I have set eyes on in many a year. Decor was poor, there was no natural light, the bedding was tired and dirty and the rooms smelt stale and damp. We asked what the cancellation policy was and were told that we needed to have cancelled by midday (we arrived around 3.30 pm). We left the desk manager in no doubt regarding our thoughts on rooms we had been offered and were swiftly offered rooms on floors 5 and 6 which were a HUGE improvement - light, airyt and comfortable - though the decor still looked tired. Breakfast is buffet and nice and staff are friendly

"very helpful staff"

We werer fortunate to be staying at the Touraine during the T5 debacle. The staff could not have been more helpful. They assisted us with cosular phone numbers, websites, obtaining cabs and much more. Breakfast (in the cellar) was very good too. It is right in Opera and theatre land with a wide selection of local bars and restraunts. There is a very cheap bike-hire point on the doorstep-literally, but there is an awful lot within walking distance.

"Not As I Have Expected !"

I and my wife stayed 4 nites at this hotel. The service and experience was not quite we had expected. The hotel is supposed to be 3-star with 3-star prices, but the bath-tub was not cleaned during our stay, the soap, shower gel, cotton-bud were not replaced with new ones until the 4th day when we requested for it ! One one of the day, we found one of the bath tower was wet and we had to chang it. The staff s at the reception could have been more helpful. But the good thing is that the breakfast was quite good and location convenient ! We would look for another hotel the next time.

Warm welcome. Room of reasonable size for Paris but no plug in the bath and no holder to hang the shower attachment on. There during the `seasonal` Paris transport strike so difficult to assessed transport suitablity.

"Very Central close to Gare du Nord and La Fayette. Room very average"

Bedroom was very small and decor very tired. No bath in our room only a shower. On the plus side it was very central and had air conditioning. Breakfast room was lovely.

Staff very friendly and breakfast arrangements and food very satisfactory. Room was a little bit small and dark. If let as a double it would have been cramped for 2 people. If that room is only used for singles, thena smaller bed would have made it a bit more spacious.

Mostly everything was good except there is no shower curtain so the bathroom got soaked, the minibar fridge wasnt turned on so didnt smell very nice, we couldnt find instructions to work the air conditioning, and the bed covers were a bit itchy but other than that it was a very pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Very good for star rating - the staff are very friendly and helpful, the little restaurant and breakfast bar are excellent and the hotel is ideally situated for touring Paris. The only complaint is that our shower smelled a bit `fusty` maybe vent fan needs attention?)
