| Guest rating: | 16/10/2007 | | "Absolutely don`t use for concert stays!!" | | | | My wife and I were travelling down for the Police concert at the MEN on 15 October 2007 and had booked a room here. The cancellation of the concert meant there was no point in us making the long journey down from Edinburgh. Hotel Direct informed us that many hotels were refunding bookings but that the Rossetti would not. £112.50 down the drain. Won`t obviously be using them for the rescheduled date. Given it puts itself forward as a concert hotel this is a very poor show. Suggest other concert goers avoid this one at all costs!!

Tea/coffee facilities at central area on landing - lovely biscuits which disappeard fast! Clean bathrooms. Good breakfast, although it took a while, but worth waiting for. Will stay here again at the right price.

| | Guest rating: | 14/6/2007 | | "Imaginatively converted, centrally located with friendly and helpful staff" | | | | This is a comfortable modern hotel in an imaginatively converted old building. Interiors are bright, spacious and airy. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Evening meal good value and pleasantly served. My room (212) was rather noisy as it was close to some ventilation fan ducts which ran all night but on request I was promptly and efficiently given a room change. The breakfast buffet was disappointing in its range of choice, but the cooked breakfast was excellent.

| | Guest rating: | 13/5/2007 | | "Quirky" | | | | It was a nice experience overall, although looking a little drab in places. I believe it is due for refurbishment shortly so would probably pay another visit. Beware when ordering a drink in the bar area as the measures are doubles unless you request otherwise (it does say this on the bottom of the drinks menu but you are not handed one on your way in, i think this is a stupid idea what if you are going to just have one drink before you drive to a restaurant or somewhere, you would be over the limit without realising)

| | Guest rating: | 25/3/2007 | | "Nice place, service and food can improve,." | | | | Nice, clean and spacious room with a great shower. Problem 1: I booked the room for my wife and one daughter. My other daughter was added later. When my wife called to add the second daughter the receptionist told my wife this was not a problem, and that the manager had stated that the extra person could stay at no added charge. At check-in there was no record of this and I had to pay an additional of £30.00. This did not make me happy.Problem 2: Food was ordered to the room. The Caesar salad included anchovies, something not stated as an ingredient. They do not like anchovies, nor do I. The anchovies were taken out, but the salad tasted of the fish which spoiled the taste of the salad. Your hamburger was like `Chum in a Bun`, as my wife puts it. A class Hotel would make a hamburger with 100% pure beef, no fillers, etc found in those God awful cheap restaurants. If I book a room in your hotel next time I`m in Manchester I would definitely not eat there.
