"Good hotel - great location"
A very good hotel, situated a few minutes walk from Tower Hill tube station, and the Tower of London & Tower Bridge. Comfortable well appointed rooms, and with a good continental or cooked breakfast on offer in the morning.

"The Chamberlain Hotel"
Lovely hotel with pleaseant and helpful staff, we even got our room early! The rooms are large and comfortable, with all the ammenities you could think of. We upgraded our breakfast for anextra £4.00 and it was definately worth every penny.I would highly recommend this hotel.OVERALL: A great package and a brilliant weekend

"The best bathroom ever in a British hotel"
only stayed one night and both my friend and I regretted not having longer to spend there. The rooms are lovely, the public areas are smart and we found the staff very helpful - would definitely go back

"Excellent Location for getting about in London, but....."
having used this hotel once and very pleased, we used it again last weekend but was disappointed about the very squeaky floorboards on floor 4 {we were on level 3}, "very" early 6am on a Sunday morning. Could not get back to sleep. Also t.v. reception was dismal. Other than that great stay, really like the hotel and the staff are very friendly.

"A very comfortable, friendly hotel"
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Chamberlain hotel. The location is excellent, and easy to find. the staff were friendly and efficient. our room was comfortable - good beds and a very nice bathroom and shower. It matched our requirements perfectly, and we hope to stay there again.

"Poor service in hotel restaurant at breakfast"
Easy check-in. Room clean and acceptable. Experience marred by service at breakfast. One English breakfast ordered (with a £4 surcharge) but never served. Hotel tried to charge the surcharge on checkout. Despite this, we would use this hotel again.

"Pleasant hotel in ideal City location"
Good clean quiet room, nice size. TV reception poor but otherwise good facilities. Decent buffet breakfast with cooked options extra. Excellent bar with good beers!

"Very pleasant hotel"
All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was a nice size, clean and comfortable. All in all we would be more than happy to stay there again. There is just one thing I would have like to have been able to have semi skimmed milk the full cream was to much for me

"Pleasant"
I was very surprised with the hotel, once i arrived i expected the quality to be lacking, but was pleasantly surprised. The only problem i found was the AC in my room 406 wasn`t working effectively due to what sounded like a bearing problem in the motor. And althought the bed had clean nice sheets, i found the mattress to either be old and worn, or not very well padded due to me being able to feel the springs against my ribs. Besides this i was pleased.

"Comfortable, quiet, helpful staff."
Excellent location near to tube. Extremely quiet at the weekend. Food good and reasonably priced.

"Well situated for Tower and River"
Nice clean hotel, stayed the weekend, found most shops and restaurants closed on Friday 1900 until Monday. Close to tube and and main line stations. Meals in hotel restaurant quite pricey

"Great location, handy for tube, no traffic noise"
Very welcoming, lovely clean room, great breakfast. Having a child with us, the on site pub was an added bonus. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the vicinity of the Tower and Tower bridge, although it was so close to Tower Hill tube and the riverboat stop, access to anywhere in London was easy.

"The manager and staff were superb."
I am transgender and this can obviously cause problems in many hotels. Not here however as the manager especially and all of her staff were brilliant - helpful, respectful, positive and efficient, they made my stay a real pleasure, as they have done before. Only one complaint - there was not a single position in my room where the lighting, either natural or artificial, was good enough for make-up.

"Comfortable friendly hotel central for the City"
Easy checkin, friendly staff and a reasonably sized room with Tea and Coffee and a pleasant outlook. Aircon or opening windows to ensure it is not too hot. Breakfast good with cooked items extra and optional. Location in Minories not far ffrom the Tower and the city, and a good pub downstairs complete the package.

"Noise from the bars next door."
Stayed at the Chamberlain and whilst we were impressed with the hotel itself, the stay was spoilt by the total lack of sleep due to noise coming from the clubs next door. This went on til the early hours and the secondary glazing in the room did nothing to improve the situation. The hotel itself is very nice, the room was clean and food was good. Shame about the noise!

"Superb hotel in an excellent location"
Lovely hotel. Friendly reception staff who made you feel really welcome and who were very accomodating. Hotel room itself was of exceptional quality, tastefully decorated rooms and excellent facilities within. Breakfast in the morning again excellent, service provided was of a high standard and breakfast itself was superb. This is a highly recommended hotel, really good value for money in a great location, perfect for sightseeing in London. Will go back very soon.

This is the second time I`ve stayed at the Chamberlain. We had two rooms - a double and a twin- both were very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

"Good Price. £97 for 2 per night inc. breakfast. Nice room, decent cont breakfast, "
option to upgrade breakfast to full english for £4. Nice helpful staff, especially lady in charge of breakfast(very organised, no waiting) room good size with all you`d expect. Close to tower bridge and tower of london (5 min walk) Surrounding restaurants and pubs all closed on sat and sun night as it is in a business district so had a bit of a walk to find somewhere to eat. plus side of this no noise outside so very restful nights sleep

"Very good but not quite perfect!"
Great location for what we wanted as we were there for a half marathon in North Greenwich so it was easy to get there and back on the dlr. Twin room nice and spacious and great bathroom. Wasn`t aware that bars and restaurants in the area are closed on weekends before arriving which was a bit of a shame but not far from other areas. Bed was hard and lumpy...not the most comfortable night`s sleep I`ve had. All in all the staff were very helpful and the hotel served it`s purpose very well. Will keep it in mind for future stays in London.

"Excellent hotel"
Superb place; room was exceptionally comfortable, spotless with friendly helpful staff. Be careful with the mini-bar though, it was only after we had moved bottles around to see what was in there that we saw the note that advised that the mini-bar is linked to the room bill electronically and if you take something out, even to have a look, it registers on the bill!! Very small print on the mini-bar menue alerted us. Great place to base a visit to London, minutes walk from the Tower of London and St Katherine`s Dock

"Taxi"
Firstly I ordered a taxi through the hotel reception service and we were very disappointed that the driver charged £18. We took a black cab on the same journey home and it cost £6.40. I think it is disgusting that the hotel encourages this kind of practice. Secondly it took nearly an hour for the waitress to bring toast to our table at breakfast!

"stayed there 1 night as we went to watch hull v chelsea, "
my partner and i have stayed here about 3 times now and each time is as good as the last, the only fault this time was the lift wasnt working and we were on 4th floor, but we did have the option of the bell boy carrying cases to our room which we declined, and wished we hadnt afterwards. The continental breakfast was very good value for money in with the hotel price, the staff were ever so attentive offering top ups of coffee as soon as your cup was empty. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to any one as its a pleasure to stay here, just watch the bar prices as we had a few pints of the honey dew which wasnt too bad then i had a bottle of leffe n it was £4 which is a tad steep. Otherwise excellent and a car park just 5 mins round corner for £2 all day n night which always amuses us when we come to pay.

"Value for money, bed could have been bigger..."
Booked a single executive room here for my last night as a bachelor. The room was a good size but I would have preferred the bed (a single) to be a bit bigger. I was able to delay my check out time at no extra cost in order to get ready for the day to come which was very much appreciated. Staff were helpful and breakfast was good. Would recommend this hotel as a good budget option.
