This hotel is located in a decent area near the Strasbord-St. Denis metro stop. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. I couldn`t figure out how to turn on the heat so it was a little cold.The only complaint I have is that the info sheet on my desk in the room said there was a "breakfast buffet" available in the mornings. It did NOT mention that the breakfast cost 9 euro. I had a croissant, a glass of orange juice, and a cup of coffee and did not know until I checked out that I`d just had the most expensive mediocre breakfast of my life.

The hotel was very clean, and the breakfast was very good. On the downside the area in which the hotel is located is very run down, but this did not spoil our trip in any wasy.

Very clean and well situated hotel,room a bit small with very small window. Enjoyable breakfast with helpful staff.

"Nice hotel but room at front was very noisy"

The Aulivia Opera is well situated, clean and well decorated. The breakfast was fine and the staff were helpful. On the down side, our room was at the front of the hotel very close to the street. There is a bike exchange just in front of the hotel which meant that people were coming and going to well after midnight and they obviously talked to each other. We are not light sleepers but the noise did keep us awake - it felt as if our bed was in the middle of the street! So my tio is - if you stay at this hotel (which is very handy for Gare de l`Est), ask for a quiet room at the back.
