"OK once as a hidden gem but would choose to stay elswhere given the option again."
Noise from above (think it was the Gym) and TV through paper thin walls from nextdoor.Would happily forego Molton Brown toiletries to have a tea and coffee making facilities in the room without extra charge! Come on xxxxx, I know its an American hotel but were in Britain!

"Good value for money."
The location was perfect for a post Xmas break. Reception was excellent and so on the ball, I mentioned an anniversary and we had complimentary wine and fruit.We had a standard, queen room which was clean and comfortable, but needed new lampshades and lavatory seat.Breakfast service was very slow on the first day. I had a feeling that there were many new staff in training.

"Not a 5 star room"
The location is excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. However, the room facilities are well below what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Quite shabby around the edges and the queen superior room we had was absolutely tiny.

Comfortable but relatively basic superior queen room. Lacked the feel of luxury grade hotel found in some lower graded hotels visited.Positives are helpful pleasant staff, safe atmosphere and location.tAdequate for one night stay but unlikely to return and will try alternatives

"Nice, but not great."
For sure The xxxxx has a fantastic location but I just didn`t get that 5* feeling whilst there.The staff were polite, friendly and unobtrusive.The Polo bar was classy, try a Spitfire cocktail to round off the evening, and not unreasonable.The bedroom however was small and the bathroom tiny. The room felt a though it needed to be bigger or have less furniture and at 6`3" I found the bath was impossible (the shower was pretty poor) but there was ample hot water. There was extensive evidence of the bathroom having been flooded numerous times previously and no remedial work.Very disappointed that in the morning workmen arrived in the corridor and made a lot of noise, wouldn`t have been so bad had we been forewarned but the staff didn`t seem to know about it (or care too much) when we told them at check-out.DO NOT use the mini-bar, even by 5* standards it is uber expensive.I have stayed in better. Was it worth it? Probably not.

"What A Great Surprise"
When I booked the hotel I was a little dubious about the whole hidden gem idea & not knowing exactly where I would be staying. However the marble bathroom, molton brown toiletries & full english breakfast included in the price swayed it for me & I wasn`t disappointment! The bed was quite possibly the most comfortable that I have ever slept in & the service was stellar. Well worth a risk for anyone who`s considering it.

"Queen room too small for 2 people"
Very good location but on arrival the receptionist advised that queen room was too small for v2 people but wanted £20 for an upgrade which I thought was wrong as I specified that the room was for 2 persons. No tea or coffee making facilities in room came at a charge. Although room was clean bathroom was really small not 5* as i have satyed in much better 4* accomodation. Plus point staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was very good.

Need to change address to conduit street off old bond street, very confusing as on any maps there isnt a bond street! took us ages to findbecause of that. Ok value, prob expensive due to proximity to theatreland, we could easily walk to piccadilly, leicester square etc

"Excellent value for central London"
We have stayed at this hotel several times previously but not very recently. We had a very small double room with an equally small bathroom (all that can really be expected when getting a really good deal). The bed was very comfortable & the room quiet. Breakfast (included in the rate) was excellent - the choice of the cooked breakfasts rarely found even in really top class hotels & the service attentive.

The best thing about this hotel is that you can walk to all the best shops and eateries.The decor of the hotel is a bit tired and shabby which takes the edge of the 5 stars and the bathroom was tiny. The bed was very comfortable though.

This hotel is living on its past reputation, it should never be rated as 5 star, shower in room was broken and dangerous, we had to complain to get it fixed, good enough they fixed it next day but we were only there for 2 days so a day with out a shower after traveling was not good. No offer of any kind by hotel in way of a gesture , i even paid extar at hotel for a room upgrade, i hate to think what the orginal room would have been like..not reccomended...

"Highly enjoyable weekend break with excellent service and sparkling accommodation."
A fine hotel that I shall recommend. High standards of service and cleanliness in evidence throughout all areas. Appetising food but suggest the The Polo Bar is over priced even though the food is well presented and delicious. All knooks and crannies sparkling. Shall come again if the opportunity arises. Would have loved a cuppa in my room without having to call fo room service.

lovely hotel, although our roo mwas more 4 star than 5, felt we had the cheaper option because of our deal, the room was certainly not 5 star standard, clean with very comfy beds. just a bit of a disappointment.still enjoyed our stay though and would stay there again.

A great location, pleasant welcoming staff. Some of the decor within the rooms was a bit tired. Room sizes were similar to a very much cheaper hotel at another central London location. However as a launch pad for shopping expeditions this was unmatched.

"Great location but not 5 star when comparred to others"
Standard rooms are small in size but adequate. Morning newspapers ordered were not delivered. Only two lifts available and one was out of action meaning a long wait or a long walk. Room service not available because of this. Facilities may warrant 5 stars but would rate it 4 stars when comparred to others in the area.

Also bar closed at 1am, we got back to hotel at 1.10am from the O2 and could not relax and have a drink, closed too early. Breakfast was difficult ordered breakfast and nearly all our breakfasts came out wrong.

A somewhat disappointing stay well below expectations. Didn`t convey the impression of a 5* hotel. Staff mostly indifferent to the customer. Due to an early start we were in bed at 9.30pm on the first day of our stay. After we fell asleep a maid rang the doorbell (about 9.45pm) asking if she could turn down the sheets! Normally this would have been exciting but I was tired and browned off by the absence of tea & coffee supply! The only high point was the restaurant and it`s staff which gets full marks and a genuine 5 stars.
