"Quality should not be in the title of this hotel"

room was not ready when we arrived at 3.15pm, we had to wait, no glasses for drinks on the bar, there was what seemed to be a manager , with no identity badge , who was overheard swearing at contractors and swearing by staff was heard a few times. room was in the basement , very noisy sounds coming from ceiling through the night. room was clean, beds comfortable, adequate breakfast . staff need training in customer care, starting with management and on entrance to the restaurant you could swipe the dust off chairs. please be aware that the local tube Paddington is closed until August, so Edgeware is the nearest station.

"noisy room"

We was given room 603 on the same floor as reception very noisy very large aircon unit out side window,no kettle in room for a tea or coffee, very small as well,my wife booked this as a birthday treat to go to London and see a show, in august thought we might have got a room over looking the gardens and not a flat roof with very large aircon units running all night,allmost felt like we were in the basement the only good thing was the breakfast in the morning,don"t think we would stay there again,i wanted to say something before we left but my wife did not want the fuss,not worth the money she paid

"Clean basic hotel"

Hotel was in a good location to Paddington Station, room (we were in room 115) was clean and bed was comfy - new towels everyday! Room was small and compact there wasn`t much room to move around (there was only 2 of us). If your looking for a budget hotel this would be ideal

"Very pleasant and accommodating character"

Every member of staff we encountered was polite and more than happy to help. The hotel has it`s own `character` which, for my partner and I, is more preferable than the generic budget hotel environment. The room was comfortable, having good facilities i.e. tea making and storage space and the bed was comfortable. Also, the breakfast was one of the best self-serve I have come across - proper English Breakfast or healthier options like cereal and fruit if you want it. I highly recommend this hotel especially if you want to hang around the Hyde Park area whilst in London.

"Very quiet hotel"

Stayed 2 nights and slept very well, easy reach of Paddington and the parks. Couldn`t find the kettle to start with, in a draw ??!! also the TV looked as if you had to pay to watch....£14-99 per night. Rang reception they didn`t know, very poor. Anyway we watched BBC, ITV etc and we didn`t get a bill :)

"Disappointing as was given a 4 poster curtained bed and very small single instead of 3 single bed. "

I would not recommend this hotel as had my best shoes stolen from Room. I rang up twice but staff in denial and very defensive.

"Hotel Review"

Lovely hotel and fantastic location. Very nice area with plenty of lovely restaurants nearby. One small complaint - would have liked a hot plate in the morning on which to take my fry!

everything was very good from staff to ease of booking in & lovely breakfast....will definitely stay here again on our next trip to London. Great place as a base to see All of London.

"Dubious at first but worked out very well"

We turned up at the Quality crown hotel and firstly we saw scaffolding outside. When we got to reception the girl behind the desk told us we would not be staying at this hotel as we were being relocated to their sister hotel the Indigo. I thought this a bit dubious and after looking on trip advisor we agreed to go to the other hotel. What a great result the other hotel was immaculate and we were even upgraded to an executive room which was fantastic. The full English breakfast was great too. I could not fault this hotel.

"Hotel upgrade!"

Hotel booked was having work done, so we got moved to "Mercure" hotel. Seemed more spacious and more modern, so was happy with the change. Staff friendly enough, rooms just little small, but not a real problem. Overall, we had a great weekend away!

"Got bumped into another hotel so didn`t stay at hotel we booked."

Stayed at Mercure instead which was fine in every way except breakfast which was extremely slow - approx 45 to 50 minutes from order to being served and when it came it was freezing cold and had to be sent back.

"Could have been better"

Radiators didn`t work. Nor did heated air conditioning. `Engineer` sent to room. Couldnt resolve so gave us fan heater. No hot water for shower or bath. Had to queue for breakfast on Monday morning. No fruit left. Had to help ourselves to coffee despite being told on previous days that it would be served to us. Water wasn`t replaced in room when drunk. Room was clean. Not spacious. Needed space for second chair and perhaps sliding doors on wardrobe so bedroom door could be opened sufficiently to get suitcases in (room 309). Told poor directions to get to Royal Albert hall by concierge across park which was closed at night. More soya products at breakfast would be good, eg milk, yoghurt.

A lot of people when giving review are very negative. me and my friends found the room very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely, gave a good start to the day. The thing we would of like in the room was tea and coffee facilities, it was greatly missed!! But both me and my two friends would book at stay with you again. Many thanks Pauline hale

"Great hotel for long weekend in London."

We stayed for three nights over the Remembrance weekend. A short walk to Paddington Station gets you to centre of London by Tube without having to change trains.Hotel was very clean, friendly front of house staff and great service at breakfast.Only down side was thickness of walls between our room and next door. You could hear every word of their conversations in normal speaking voice...shame, as every thing else was excellent. Would definitely stay again, but in room with thicker walls!

"Excellent breakfast. Very small room. (102). Impossible to sleep after 4am because of noise."

Spotlessly clean and service excellent. Breakfast superb; beautifully cooked. Room(102)very small but bathroom adequate: water hot and towels clean. Impossible to sleep beyond 4am because of intolerable noise (air-conditioning system ? laundry?)coming from tanks immediately outside single-glazed window. Could not have stayed in this room more than one night.Good location if travelling to/from Paddington station. If booking here request a quiet room or else stay elsewhere.

Had no complaints about this hotel, the staff were very helpful and polite especially the young man who served us at the bar because although he had various duties and was kept very busy, he still had time to see to our needs. The room was a bit small but adequate and the breakfast good.

Excellent hotel within walking distance of Paddingtoton with nice pubs and restaurants on route. Hotel rooms were good with comfy beds and all facilities you could ask for and a very nice cooked breakfast. Would definately stay here again and would recommend to others.

"Good value and a very convenient and quiet location"

This is a very good value choice. Clean and comfortable and quiet. Not luxurious but everything you need and rooms are a decent size.

"Really dissapointing"

Dissapointed with the hotel .Covered in scaffold. Rooms werew very very small for doubles and they absolutely tank of sewer.The staff were notified and just sent a member of staff to spray air freshener.There must be a problem with sewer pipes. It was awful!!!!

"Lovely staff but the room left a lot to be desired"

Room was so dingy it was almost impossible to get dressed, the outlook seemed to be on to another hotel corridor - very strange, so kept the curtain closed and, therefore, no daylight. There was no bedside table on one side of the bed even though there was space for it, so had to use the dressing table stool and the bath towels were very small. Everything else was fine and the staff were really nice so, not bad value for money I guess, but could do better

"Quiet from the point of view of external noise which is great for such a central location"

Noise between floors that I didn`t expect in such an old building but overall comfortable, clean and warm. Would stay there again - but preferably on the top floor.

"The room was clean and ready when we arrived. Staff obliging. Location good for Hyde Park and tube."

The room was adequate for a short stay but it was rather small for a longer break.We would use the hotel again.The breakfast arrangements puzzled us. It looked as if you could take a cooked breakfast, even if a Continental breakfast had been booked.

"Fine for tourists but not of teh standard advertised"

There was no air conditioning in the roomwifi was not complimentary in the room as I had understood when reviewing the facilities beforehandthe safe and relevant plug points were at floor level which is not ideal at allstaff helpful

We had a great time. Close to tube. Staff very welcomingOnly downside is very small room if you are overseas traveller with weeks worth of luggage My sister and I would come back. Pity we are booked into tune hotel for return visit before we return to oz

Hi stayed for 2 night excellent location very clean good breakfast but small rooms but ok for a couple nights stay . Very close to tubes and bars and restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful.

Went for a girly weekend with my sister and niece. Great area for pubs and restaurants and very easy access to Paddington station.Room was a very comfortable triple - and the beds were wonderful. Brilliant time had by all!
