Artwork worth £130 million is on display in London

It has been revealed that unseen artwork will be put on display for the general public in London. The paintings have been valued at more than £130 million and will be put to auction next week and will be displayed at Christie’s until then.

The artworks include a Gauguin painting which hasn’t been seen for 15 years. There are paintings by Magritte and Picasso and a pastel piece by Degas.

The most valuable piece of artwork is Gauguin’s Nature Morte A L’Esperance which was painted in 1901. It has the highest estimate and is expected to be sold between £7 million and £10 million.

Another piece includes Sur L’Imperiale Traversant La Seine by Picasso which was also from 1901. This piece is expected to be sold for over £3 million.
