The iconic Boris Bike network, now considered one of the most popular forms of transport in the capital, is to undergo big expansion work ready for 2014.
The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, and Transport for London (TfL) confirmed today that the bikes will be moving south of the river Thames, with 2,000 new bicycles and around 5,000 new docking points to be found in south-west London.
TfL have worked with boroughs since last year to identify over 200 apt locations for docking stations, with the likes of Wandsworth, Lambeth, Hammersmith and Fulham all set to benefit from the announcement.
Used frequently by commuters, businesses and visitors alike, the scheme can be classed as an unquantifiable success in London`s ever evolving and innovative infrastructure.
