London roads have welcomed a brand new resident, after the first electric taxi to reach the UK shores was introduced to the capital.
Two Renault Fluence Z. E.s were showcased by eco-focussed London cab hire firm Climatecars, who were delighted to unveil their latest vehicle.
Founder and MD of Climate cars Nicko Williamson said: “The addition of the fully electric Renault Fluence Z. E. to Climatecars fleet marks a crucial step towards our aim of being the first zero emission car service”.
In news that will please eco-enthusiasts, Mr Williamson confirmed the price of hiring the model for private hire will not eclipse those already put in place by the company.
“Climatecar`s electric vehicle will be operating in Central London and will be priced at the same level as our normal hybrid fleet”.
The model comes just in time for the London Olympic Games, representing one of many reasons why the capital will be a brilliant place to visit this summer. Make sure you take advantage of some of the great London hotels
dotted around the city, should you plan on venturing to the English capital.
