The technological revolution of the capital`s famed transport system is continuing, after it was revealed a fleet of London`s minicabs are set to join the likes of the London Underground by providing Wi-Fi access to its passengers.
The GreenTomatoCars, London`s environmentally friendly private hire service, is to become the first passenger car company in Europe to incorporate a free in-car internet service across its entire fleet.
Powered by 3G Mobile Broadband bia individual networks, the service will be completely free and will allow download speeds of anything up to 7.2Mb/sec and upload speeds of up to 2Mb/sec.
Long regarded as a hub for technological innovation, the capital was named the Wi-Fi capital of the world in 2008, with GreenTomatoCars` founder Jonny Goldstone also commenting the city was now the ‘free Wi-Fi capital`.
It is yet another trendy addition to accompany our journey around the capital, and is particularly useful for those who wish to take in all the sites whilst enjoying a stay in one of our wonderful
hotels in London.
