Legendary English alternative rock band Happy Mondays have confirmed a couple of dates in the capital this winter.

The popular group, headed by enigmatic musician Shaun Ryder, will be hitting the Roundhouse in London on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 December.

Renowned for their unique concoction of northern soul and funk, rock and psychedelia, they are considered pioneers of the acid house and rave movement that swept the UK during the late 1980s and early to mid 1990s.

They are probable best known for their third album ‘Pills ‘n` Thrills and Bellyaches`, which was released in 1990 and produced by Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne. It was voted the 51st greatest album of all time by Channel 4 viewers in 2005.
