The hugely successful West End spectacle of
Billy Elliot played host to a very special visitor over the weekend, as the president of Lithuania came along to admire the show.
The country`s first ever female head of state Dalia Grybauskaite, known as The Iron Lady in Lithuania, couldn`t have asked for a finer show to enjoy on the famed theatre strip, which played its first show at the city`s Victoria 2005. She watched the show as part of her Olympic visit to the capital, with her trip sure to be made even more special after 15 year old Ruta Meilutye flied the flag for her country by winning gold in the 100m breaststroke.
An adaptation of the classic 2000 film starring Jamie Bell, it has become one of the finest stage shows during its lengthy West End tenure. Why not catch the show as part of one of the many
London theatre breaks available throughout the year?
