Renowned for its host of classy restaurants and excellent eateries, London is the culinary Mecca for foodies across Europe.

As if to highlight the diversity of high quality food on offer, a restaurant guide has listed a south London kebab shop as one of the capital`s top ten establishments, rubbing shoulders alongside some of the top Michelin starred restaurants in the city.

Ranking higher than the likes of The Ritz, Barrafina and Marcus Wareing, Meze Mengal was opened 12 years ago by Turkish brothers Sahin and Ahmet Gok, according to an article by the Daily Mail newspaper, and is seventh with a 95 per cent approval rating on travel website TripAdvisor.

Moving away for the typical fast food image usually associated with kebabs, dishes at the Meze Mengal are always fresh, affordable and can be enjoyed in a pleasant setting, factors that have been acknowledged by reviewers online.
