Despite many fears that the London theatre scene would see a slump in ticket sales during the Olympics, a recent survey has revealed that the majority of ticket holders have confirmed they are also keen to see one of the many cultural events as well.

The survey, conducted by OnePoll, found that 2.4 million Olympic tickets had already bought tickets to one of the many concerts, exhibitions, musicals or plays taking place during the residency of the Games, with a further 1.7 million keen to add a similar event into their plans but had not purchased any. It is believed that with over 6.4 million people visiting the capital to admire the greatest show on earth, theatre breaks in London and other cultural events could be a great addition to helping them gain a greater understanding of what the city has to offer.

In total, it found that 66% of people were keen to see the show, evidence that the predicted drop in ticket sales isn`t looking to be too much of a worry for the famed theatre strip.
