In some fantastic news for London theatre, it has been announced that the production of Matilda The Musicalis set to be included in the latest edition of the Guinness Book of Records, a fantastic accolade for the show.

It has been a revolution since first opening at the Cambridge Theatre in November 2011, a breath of fresh air on the West End and a show which has been witnessed by thousands already. It was the shining star at the 2012 Olivier Awards, taking home a phenomenal seven awards. It is this achievement which is being recognised in the book of the world`s greatest, taking over the record of ‘Most Lawrence Olivier Award Wins` from the previous holder Nicholas Nickelby, which famously took home 6 awards more than 20 years ago.

With the book just hitting the shelves, it means the memory of this landmark achievement is now written in stone, or paper in this instance. With Matilda not set to leave the West End until 29 June 2013, why not use one of the fantastic London theatre breaks available to come and see what all the fuss is about?
