In some fantastic news for the West End, the production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical is set to return for a sizeable UK tour which could include a date in the capital.
After first hitting the stage in Sydney back in 2006, the show was last seen gracing the stages of the West End back in March 2009, featuring until the 31 December 2011 and even received a Tony Award during the residency.
The show offers a fantastic adaptation of the Oscar-winning film, following the adventures of Sydney drag queen Mitzi and her two friends as they head west across the Australian desert to Alice Springs onboard a battered bus.
While details on the dates and venues are still to be announced, the production is already believed to be in the casting process, a clear indication that the rumour is quickly set to become a reality. The development only looks to further bolster the great range of shows and musicals available to admire during one of the many
theatre breaks in London.
