An exhibition exploring the wondrous art of celebrated British painter Richard Hamilton is to open in London next month.
Embarking on an intimate and fascinating exploration of works by the late great man, who is considered by many critics and historians as one of the pioneers of pop art, the display will be held at the National Gallery in London from 10 October 2012 – 13 January 2013.
It continues the idea Hamilton had shortly before his death in 2011, when he was planning a major exhibition of his most recent works.
Knowing he would not live to see the planned displays materialise, he also agreed that the exhibition would culminate in a show of his unfinished work – which is based on a short story by Honoré de Balzac.
Some of his works will be on display for the first time and it represents a rare opportunity to discover more about the life of one of Britain`s most influential artists.
Be sure to combine this memorable experience with a stay in one of the idyllic
London hotels over the coming months.
