
In some fantastic news for the West End,
Shrek the Musical has announced an extension to its booking period, meaning audiences can now catch the show well into in 2013.
Having opened at the West End`s Theatre Royal back in 2011, the production based on the Oscar winning DreamWorks film has become one of the most admired spectacles on the world famous strip, with the likes of Amanda Holden, Richard Blackwood and Carley Stenson among the famous faces bolstering the line-up during its tenure.
It tells the story of Shrek, an ogre who is happy living in his swamp until the deed for his land is taken from him. Together with a quick witted donkey as his sidekick, he embarks on a journey to reclaim what is rightly his.
Shrek the Musical will now be featuring at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane until the 30 June 2013, giving plenty of opportunity for fans to witness the show as part of one of the many
London theatre breaks available.
