It has been announced that Top Hat is set to extend its West End residency, offering more chance for visitors and city dwellers to see the show long into 2013.

The stage adaptation by Matthew White and Howard Jacques has had a relatively short career on the famous theatre strip, falling to immense praise and plaudits and generating huge popularity after opening at the Aldwych Theatre on the 9 May.

In a classic story of love, it circles around Jerry Travers, the famous American tap dancer who arrives in London hopeful of forging a successful career on the West End. After meeting the love of his life in the form of the irresistible Dale Tremont, Travers follows her in her journey across Europe in the pursuit of love.

Top Hat will now keep its West End residency until at least the 27 April 2013, with the news marking an increase of three months. It comes as great news for fans of stage shows, now offering the perfect spectacle for fascinating theatre breaks in London.
