With London`s West End held in such high regard around the world, it`s unsurprising that it so often attracts a number of famous faces. The most recent celebrity seen indulging in a theatre show was Wayne Rooney, treating his young son and wife to Shrek the Musical.

The Manchester United striker and England captain should certainly have arrived in high spirits for the show, especially after bagging two goals during England`s 5-0 onslaught of San Marino. The Rooney family were spotted leaving London`s Theatre Royal after enjoying the highly rated show, also accompanied by Colleen`s parents Collette and Tony.

They couldn`t have chosen a better spectacle to see, with Shrek the Musical proving to be a breath of fresh air since transferring to the Theatre Royal back in June 2011. With the show recently being extended until at least March 2013, there is still plenty of time to catch the show as part of one of the many London theatre breaks in the near future.
