It has recently been announced that West End star Samantha Barks has been added to the cast of the film adaptation of the classic musical Les Miserables.
This comes as a shock to those who had previously heard that music superstar Taylor Swift had been linked to the role of Eponine. But Cameron Mackintosh put those rumours to bed by announcing the casting after a performance of Oliver in Manchester where the actress is currently playing Nancy.
Elizabeth is no stranger to the role after previously taking the role for a year on the West End and for the 25th anniversary concert at the O2 arena.
Banks will join an exciting cast already consisting of Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe and Hugh Jackman. The movie is set to shoot later in the year and get a December release.
