The Show
Fiddler on the Roof follows the story of Jewish Father Tevye and his family, traditions and heritage. As the story unravels Tevye finds himself battling with what he knows from tradition and what he is learning from others within his life. With his daughters looking to marry men that challenge tradition Tevye faces difficult decisions.

History of Fiddler on the Roof
The musical, set in the pale of settlement of Imperial Russia in 1905, is based off the Novel by Joseph Stein. The original Broadway production was first premiered in 1964 and was the first musical theatre run in history which surpassed 3,000 performances. It also held the longest running Broadway musical for almost 10 years and is the seventeenth longest running show in Broadway history.
