The hotel offers a total of 783 comfortable rooms set across nine floors. All bedrooms have satellite television, pay movie channels, answerphone, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer and trouser press. With two restaurants, three bars and a concierge service for booking theatre and sightseeing tickets, you may need a longer stay to fit it all in. The Strand Palace Club Rooms are bright and airy with contemporary decor and feature free Wi-Fi, plasma television, movies on demand, and bathrobes on request. Club Guests can also benefit from a swifter check in at the hotels dedicated Club check-in desk. The hotel also offers an onsite gym offering a range of fitness equipment.

Hotel and location:

The hotel enjoys one of the finest locations in the capital, just outside the doors is London`s famed Theatreland and the cosmopolitan bustle of Covent Garden, China Town, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus are just minutes away. Originally built as an Art Deco showpiece, the hotel has been carefully modernised and in recent years has undergone a refurbishment of bedrooms, public areas and Johnston`s Brassiere. Please note: The Strand Palace is currently under going renovation to the facade of the hotel. Disruption to guests will be kept to a minimum.

Getting there:

BY CAR: Covent Garden (Piccadilly) turn right into Long Acre, turn left at Bow Street which becomes Wellington Street, this in turn takes you to the Strand. Turn right and you will find the hotel one minute along the Strand. BY TUBE: Charing Cross (Northern Line and Bakerloo). Exit Charing Cross tube or mainline station on to Strand South. Turn right. The hotel is approx 4 mins walk on opposite side of the road.

Refurbishment Details: The hotel has undergone internal restoration over the last four years and from the end of November 2011 for approximately 18 months, we will take this restoration to the exterior of the building. Scaffolding will be erected over particular parts of the building through this period. Of course, disruption to our guests will be kept to a minimum as once inside the property, there will be no disturbance or physical evidence and the hotel will continue to provide the high service, varied product and amenities the hotel is fast becoming known for.
